The erhu, a traditional Chinese musical instrument with a rich history spanning over a millennium, has experienced a regrettable decline in popularity in recent years. This project seeks to reverse this trend by redesigning and modernizing both the form and function of the erhu, making it more accessible and appealing to contemporary audiences. By challenging and transforming the conventional stereotypes associated with the erhu, the instrument can once again thrive in popular culture.
